This has always been an old standby on holidays because it was the “least offensive” congealed salad my family would sometimes eat. I mean, how can you go wrong with strawberries and bananas?!
2 – 3 oz. pkgs strawberry jello
2 c. boiling water
3 bananas, mashed
2 pkg. frozen strawberries in juice, thawed
½ pint sour cream (room temperature)
Boil one cup of water and stir in one pkg of jello. After it is dissolved, stir in 1-1/2 bananas and one pkg. of the strawberries. Pour into a squre 9x9 dish and chill. When it is set, spread the sour cream on the first layer. Repeat the jello layer again with the rest of the ingredients and pour on top of the sour cream. Chill until firm and serve in squares.
