SURPRISE SNOWBALLS

1 c. butter, softened
½ c. sugar
1-1/2 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped pecans
40 chocolate kisses (approximately)

Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Beat together butter, sugar, and vanilla until light. Add flour and mix well. Stir in nuts. Shape a ball of dough around a chocolate kiss, covering completely. Gently press ball onto ungreased cookie sheet to flatten bottom of cookie so it won’t roll around while cooking. Bake for about 12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
