4 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. sugar
2 t. baking powder
1 t. can milk
1 beaten egg
2/3 c. melted shortening
Dried apples
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
Vegetable oil
Mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk, egg and shortening together. Keep in refrigerator until easy to handle. Roll into 6” circles the thickness of pie crust.
Cook dried apples according to directions. Sweeten with brown sugar and cinnamon and put some in center of each circle. Fold circle in half and with fork seal the edges. Fry in vegetable oil until golden on both sides.
