6 ears corn, cut off cob, scraping cob (starch is in that juice)
¾ stick butter
½ c. sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
In a skillet melt butter and add rest of ingredients and lots of water. Don’t cover. Bring to boil and then turn down to medium low. Watch it so it doesn’t stick. If necessary add water but not too much. Cook about 1-1/2 hours.
